c1840 Percussion Over and Under Turnover Pistol

A superb percussion over and under turnover pistol by 'LOTT OF DEVIZES'.

Thomas Ewell Lott born Reading 1790 died 1862 in Devizes, Wilts. Active: Thomas Ewell Lott, Devizes, Wilts. 1847-59.

A superb percussion over and under turnover pistol by Lott of Devizes.

With turn-off barrels decorated with bands of scrolling foliage at the muzzle and geometric designs at the breech, border engraved box-action signed on the top brace. Figured walnut butt beautifully carved with a square silver escutcheon with 3 initials and barells stamped with various proofs at the breech. Strong action.

As wonderful quality untouched original percsussion pistol c1840.
