Description
An Indian rebellion period Sepoy Mutiny period Enfield 1853 pattern rifle/ musket. Obsolete calibre and antique. Enfield Pattern 1853 Rifle/ Musket .577/ 450 calibre muzzle loading smooth bore. Used by British troops from 1853 to 1867 after which this was replaced by the incoming Snider-Enfield rifle.
VR Crown Marked and Dated 1863.
