We have been approached on many occasions (and very recently) by numerous television production companies trying to feature us on many antique and collectables programmes that seem to be ever more popular on the various television channels out there and enjoyed by many.
We, however, have decided that television exposure is not for us or indeed needed for our business. We find that the television 'craze' and the need by some to be a 'face' on television negatively affects the antique trade and business by portraying unrealistic situations and fabricated prices. Other professional dealers, like ourselves, have been part of this television craze and have regretted it for various reasons ever since!
We prefer to stay a local antique shop that is small in size, but does an awful lot of business with local, National and International clients. We are known for our expert knowledge, quality of the items we find and the service we provide in a discreet way to ensure our clients privacy is protected and respected.
So...that explains why we are not interested in being on television despite the numerous offers we have received.
