Armoury Antiques and Militaria deal with all things related to antique arms and armour and military collectables whilst  Binky’s Barn is the vintage furniture and kitchenalia side of our business.Binky’s Barn will be up and running in late 2020 and specialising in the up-cycling of vintage furniture as well as stocking antique curios.

Armoury Antiques and Militaria are unique in that we have exceptional experience when dealing, owning and using antique Japanese swords and armour. The owner has been training, living and visiting Japan since the age of 11 and has unique contacts and experience there. In addition, he has been collecting and appraising Japanese swords, armour and fittings for over 30 years and has unique associations in Japan. The site is a commercial and educational website dealing in original Japanese swords, armour, fittings, artwork and worldwide militaria. I am always glad to share my knowledge and help anyone to learn about swordsmanship, swords, medals, armour and all things antique arms and armour.

Armoury Antiques and Militaria and Binky’s Barnis based at their retail shop in delightful Devon (on Dartmoor in fact - Hound of The Baskervilles country!). At our shop you will find it packed with genuine high quality (un-restored) antique arms and armour as well as other antiques and retro collectables. Clients are welcome to visit us at our shop:Armoury Antiques and Militaria, Shop 4, Tavistock Stannary Market, Tavistock, Devon. PL19 0AL. We are open from Monday to Saturday 0900-1630 hrs. We accept all major credit/ debit cards. The Tavistock Stannary market is a special place having been initiated by King Edward I in 1305. Tavistock is one of 3 Devonshire Stannary market towns (Tavistock, Ashburton and Chagford). You can also visit us at the many shows we attend all over the United Kingdom (please check our blog for details). We hope you enjoy our website and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. 

*Please note: We will not send by post any antique edged weapons or antique flintlock/ percussion pistols. We only deal in genuine antique or pre-1954 Japanese swords, daggers or other edged weapons and will require documentary evidence that you are over 18 years of age to comply with the current law (and new (2020) legislation)) to do with purchase and ownership of antique edged weapons and antique flintlock/ percussion items. We will not send edged weapons to private addresses either. However, we do offer free local delivery within 25 miles or charge for delivery (to be negotiated with client). Alternatively, you can reserve and collect the item from the many national fairs we attend (see our Blog) or collect items from our shop premises. All other  non-bladed  antiques can be posted Worldwide. UK postage is included in the cost of any item featured on our website with the exception of large furniture or unusual items - details will be included in the description of the item.

Please Note: We will not post antique or pre-1954 Japanese swords, swords, daggers or other edged weapons as we require proof that you are over 18 years of age to comply with current and new legislation (due to come out very soon) to do with the sale and delivery of edged weapons. We will not send items to private addresses and we fully comply with all Government legislation.
