Welcome to Armoury Antiques and Militaria and Binky’s Barn

Armoury Antiques and Militaria deal with all things related to antique arms and armour and military collectables whilstBinky’s Barn is the vintage furniture and kitchenalia side of our business.Binky’s Barn will be up and running in 2020 and specialising in the up-cycling of vintage furniture as well as stocking antique curios.

Armoury Antiques and Militaria are unique in that we have exceptional experience when dealing, owning and using antique Japanese swords and armour. The owner has been training, living and visiting Japan since the age of 11 and has unique contacts and experience there. In addition, he has been collecting and appraising Japanese swords, armour and fittings for over 30 years and has unique associations in Japan. The site is a commercial and educational website dealing in only original Japanese swords, armour, fittings, artwork and worldwide militaria. I am always glad to share my knowledge and help anyone to learn about swordsmanship, swords, medals, armour and all things antique arms and armour.

We have very strong views on so called'restoration'and so called'restorers'in the United Kingdom and will not associate with many of them as we only deal in un-restored pieces that have at worst been 'conserved' and not over restored, devalued and put togther.

Armoury Antiques and Militaria and Binky’s Barnis based at their retail shop in delightful Devon (on Dartmoor in fact - Hound of The Baskervilles country!). At our shop you will find it packed with genuine high quality (un-restored) antique arms and armour as well as other antiques and retro collectables.
