Ref: XXX - WW1 EKI (First Class) Iron Cross Maker marked and in Very Fine Condition.

Out of Stock
KO - Maker marked: 'KO' (Königliches Münzamt Orden)

A very nice 1st class award, which has not been cleaned and left alone - nice and original. To the rear of the award there is a pin and hook clasp and the maker mark 'KO' , which is the maker 'Königliches Münzamt Orden'

While some sources may also mention 'Klein and Quenzer' as a maker with the 'KO' mark, 'Königliches Münzamt Orden' is the most commonly accepted manufacturer for these crosses, particularly those that were widely distributed. 'Königliches Münzamt Orden' (Royal Mint Department of Medals) was located in Berlin and made some of the finest decorations of the WW1 period.
