Ref: WWI French 'Le Nettoyeur de Tranchées - Snake Knife and Scabbard.
UK mainland postage included.
An unofficial trench knife made from a single piece of steel. Apparently designed by Henri Caux, who ran the company with his brothers. Two main variants exist, of which this is the latter. The first variant was of less refined construction and featured a narrow, leaf-shaped blade. Many examples of the second variant are adorned with a snake's head finial on the grip.
