***New In***A Super Quality Cossacks Sword (Shashka) with Arsenal Marks to the Forte and Beautifully Etched Panel Dedication to Blade:

A super quality Cossacks sword (Shashka) with arsenal marks to the Forte and beautifully etched panel dedication to blade:

'THIS SWORD WAS TAKEN FROM A COSSACK OF THE RED BOLSHEVIK FORCES BY R. A. JUDD HMS MARLBOROUGH DURING THE RETREAT OF THE DENIKINS ARMY CRIMEA'.

The blade and entire sword is in excellent condition and a very rare peice having only recently been sold from a private family collection directly to us.

Anton Deniken (1872-1947) was a Russian that served on the general staff in the early part of the 1st World War. After the Russian Revoltion Denikin became the anti-Bolshevic Cossack Commander operating between The Caspian Sea and The Balck Sea in 1919. His army was completely routed in 1920.

HMS Marloborough on 15th April 1919 at Yalta successfully rescued 17 members of the surviving Russian Royal family including the late Tsars Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousins and Grandchildren.
