Ref: 1249 - WW1/ WW2 Era Italian Model 1891 Mannlicher Carcano Rifle Sword Bayonet and Leather Scabbard

Description

This is a WW1 into WW2 Era Italian Model 1891 Mannlicher Carcano Rifle Sword Bayonet (see page 189 and 194 plate 431 of 'The Bayonet Book' by Watts & White). The bayonet has a 12 inch single edged fullered blade (16 1/4" overall). It has the correct crossguard with small muzzle ring and steel sprung bayonet lug button at the pommel which functions perfectly. The crossguard is stamped. The bayonet is complete with original black leather scabbard with brass locket and chape.  All leather and stitching of the scabbard are intact.
